Duke Stops St. John's

Duke's non-conference home win streak goes to 94 with the win over St. John's 83 to 76. St. John's was unable to handle the size of the duke bigs, and stop the 3 pointers from the Duke guards.

St John's out shot Duke 44% to 41%. Duke had the edge on the boards 38 rebounds for Duke and 36 for St. John's.

Mason Plumlee and Ryan Kelly led the scoring for The Blue Devils with 15 points each and Mason Plumlee took rebound honors with 17. Duke is still lacking on their defense, and they are going to have trouble winning against ranked teams if they don't improve their defense.

The over-all stats were in St. John's favor, so on paper St. John's should have won this game, but because of the size advantage Duke got the win at the free throw line shooting 76% 32 out of 42.
