Duke Takes Down Belmont

I was unable to see the game, but I have the stats for you. Duke led at the end of the first half 39 to 30. Belmont took the second half 46 to 38, but the final score was 77 to 76 in favor of Duke.

Seth Curry and Austin Rivers led the Devils in scoring with 16 points each. Mason Plumlee pulled down 14 rebounds. Duke shot 42% while Belmont shot 47%.

As a team Duke had 33 rebounds to Belmont's 31. Duke turned the ball over 19 times compared to 17 for Belmont. Duke had 21 fouls, Belmont had 25. Just like last year Duke has started out fouling and turning the ball over, two things they will need to work on.

Like I said I didn't see the game, but it looks like Duke was just lucky to win this game. They have the talent, so I hope they use it in their next game, because luck usually runs out.
